Kerry's Comet Clipper -built a couple of years ago.

This is a comet clipper built by Charlie Gilligan in 1939, he recovered it in about 1949 after the war. Charlie gave it to me to recover and fly. It has a Veco .19 in it with a throttle for R\C and runs pretty good. The silk and dope covering is pretty bad off, and it definitely needs recovered. As for flying it when its done............we'll see.    Kerry.

The Fremont Frontier Flyers in Fremont Nebraska  are a friendly and dedicated group of flyers that you will be delighted to meet.  We have a large flying field that is great for flying giant scale planes.  The East/West runway is 75 feet x 800 feet  and the North/South runway is approximately 150 foot x300 foot.  Bring a picnic lunch and made a day of it with your family, there is a picnic table at the field and shade trees to sit under.  It is never crowded and you will be able to fly without interruption.  For anyone located in the Fremont area this is a chance you will not want to miss.  The dues are low and there may be some membership promotions coming this year.  Be sure to check the web site often so that you will not miss out.  Check out our Photo Gallery as it grows this summer with the pictures of the Frontier Flyer's members.  If you wish to join there is an online application form that you can download and send in with your dues so that you can start flying with the least amount of waiting.  There is a map to both the field and to the club meeting so you'll be able to find your way without problems.  The meetings are held at the field in the Summer from April to September and in case of bad weather or in the Winter from October to March they are held at the Keene Memorial Library at 1030 North Broad Street Fremont Nebraska.  The Fremont Frontier Flyers are an AMA Chartered Club number 885.  AMA membership is required.  If you would like to see your airplane on the web site e-mail your picture with your name and the planes name and I will post it for you.  Home    Animated Gif's    Application Form    Contact    Field Map    Field Picture   Meetings    Photo Gallery    Schedule    E-Mail
